Home Inspiration: Incorporating Wood Elements in Your Kitchen

Home may be where the heart is, but I think we all know our hearts are in cozy and welcoming family kitchens. This week we’re in love with kitchens that incorporate an exposed wood element as a central feature. At Bonanza, surrounded by indigenous trees and tall golden grasses, why not bring some of the natural beauty into your home’s kitchen? Your friends and family will love socializing in the heart of your home and in a space that feels well-suited to the location.

With these wood-inspired kitchens, we hand-picked room ideas that balance modern and contemporary layouts and appliances with rustic exposed wood. We hope you’ll agree that the result is just gorgeous, neither over the top nor underwhelming, but completely delightful! We can already smell a scrumptious dinner cooking….

Happy Planning!

Just a Tad

If wood doesn’t really seem like your kind of thing, we beg you to reconsider with this photo of a chic and contemporary kitchen with just a hint of wood in the exposed ceiling beams. The kitchen is still bright and clean but the wood adds a warm and inviting tone to the room.

Bring the Outdoors Indoors

We can’t get over this kitchen, look at those views! The only wood element is the framing of the windows, which is perfect placement to accentuate the forest shrub outside. This is a nice alternative to the exposed beam ceilings and adds a layer of drama to the dining area.

Disguised Wood Elements

This is the most charming doorway entrance to a kitchen we’ve ever seen. We can just imagine handpicking our own vegetables and herbs and bringing them into the kitchen to start cooking. In this kitchen, they’ve painted the wood white, which makes the room completely bright and wonderful and farmhouse-like. This is a great idea if you think that wood will make your indoor areas seem too dark.

Wood All The Way!

If you’re feeling bold and particularly attached to the idea of rustic kitchen (we are behind you all the way!), why not consider the wood-floor and wood-ceiling combo? Your kitchen will be completely cozy and adorable and inviting to all who enter! The wooden kitchen island on the left of the photo is stunning and completes the look!
